About
Welcome to PracticalBusinessIntelligence.com–a weblog conversation between practitioners and professionals in Business Intelligence and Enterprise Data Management.
This blog is the result of the vision of Jeff Block, Director of the Business Intelligence Practice at Capstone Consulting, and a number of colleagues–with more than 100 years of BI experience among them. Its purpose is to create a space for conversation on the web about the best practices, industry standards, and battle-hardened principles that make business intelligence, enterprise data management, and related initiatives successful. It’s our goal to communicate a consistent practical vision for BI, and to assist both the new-but-interested and the seasoned-but-searching to improve their capacity to make data an increasingly-valuable asset in their–or their customers’–business.
